Day 1 - Thursday 12th April 2012 - 15:05 - Betfred Bowl Chase - Grade 1 - 3m1f
Regarded as a consolation for those who ran with distinction in the Cheltenham Gold Cup, this race always attracts a top quality field and usually produces one of the best races on the Grand National meeting. It is a Grade 2 race run over three miles with nineteen fences to be negotiated and over the years it has produced some great winners, including Wayward Lad (twice), Desert Orchid, See More Business, Florida Pearl and the late Exotic Dancer. Nacarat, fourth in the King George VI, won last year when well backed at 7/2.
