Many Clouds Betting
Many Clouds was a fine winner of the 2015 Grand National and the Oliver Sherwood-trained nine-year-old will aim to emulate the mighty Red Rum by winning back-to-back renewals of the Aintree marathon on April 9, and he warmed up for this race with a fine win at Kelso last time out.
- 13th March 2016 - Kelso - Premier Chase - 2m, 7f, 96y - 1st
- 30th January 2016 - Cheltenham - Betbright Cup Chase - 3m 1f - 2nd
- 5th December 2015 - Aintree - Betfred Lotto Chase - 3m - 2nd
- 31st October 2015 - Wetherby - Charlie Hall Chase - 3m - 6th
Many Clouds was a sensational winner of the 2015 Grand National, and Oliver Sherwood's class act will be one of the primary challengers for the 2016 renewal, as he aims to emulate Red Rum's heroics by winning the Aintree marathon for the second year in a row.
He blossomed over the fences last year, carrying a huge weight to victory, and from the higher echelons of the handicap again he will be aiming to sparkle once again on Merseyside and heading into the race in fine fettle he could well be the one to beat, so that is why he is a prominent figure in the latest betting.
Second in Cheltenham's BetBright Cup Chase in January, the nine-year-old then built on that with a fine win in Kelso's Premier Chase, and if he returns in similar form to last season, then he will be a tough rival to beat, and ultimately sets the standard for what could be a vintage renewal of the race.

VERDICT: Many Clouds was a classy winner of last year's race, and if he returns in similar form to Aintree on April 9 then he will be the one to beat, and having warmed up with a fine Kelso win last month then it's hard to not see him battling for glory once again.
