Home Farm

Home Farm Betting

Home Farm is a nine-year-old horse trained by Henry de Bromhead who is set to run in the 2016 Crabbie's Grand National at Aintree on April 9, but the Irish raider is a huge price to land staying glory on his first attempt at the race.

Season Form:

  • 28th February 2016 - Leopardstown - Foxrock Cup Hurdle - 2m - 6th
  • 12th November 2015 - Clonmel - Clonmel Oil Hurdle - 2m - 4th

Henry de Bromhead's Home Farm was handed some stiff tasks in the 2015 season as he was handed a tilt at the Cheltenham Gold Cup, but on his two runs this season the nine-year-old has taken part in hurdle events with his first run coming at Clonmel over two miles in November, where he was fourth.

Next seen over timber again in late February, Home Farm could only finish sixth in the Foxrock Cup Hurdle at Leopardstown, but a return to fences should see him at his best, but despite a light weight in the Grand National he is going to find things tough in what is a really competitive renewal in 2016.

VERDICT: Struggling in two-mile hurdle races this term, this lightly-weighted Irish raider will find this equally as tough and makes no appeal whatsoever on his return to the larger obstacles.
